Private Lion Gallery
Here are some of my private picture collections of
lions. This page is titled "Private Lion Gallery" because those are either the pictures I took myself or those sent to me by
my friends.
All the lion pictures in my gallery can't be used without asking me first, and the

The Lion Village:
********************
I made a new visit in the summer of 2002 to the Lion Village and to be fair I have to say that there were some
positive changes that made it easier for the lions to live there. For example, more shade from the sun was provided to the
cages, more water sources became available for the lions for cooling and thirst, and the direct contact of the cubs with the
visitors became less. One thing I still don't like specifically there is the lion show that takes place to entertain the
visitors (who actually come to eat and rest), this show is sort of mini circus that not only include lions but tigers were
also added this year! I think this show is good to exercise the lions but suitable exercises can be provided in other ways
than entertaining shallow minded crowd!! One more thing I noticed this year is that the village has obtained a young African
leopard and it is been caged in a very SMALL cage...real pathetic!!! Anyway, click here
to see the new 2002 pictures of the Egyptian Lion Village, I would be interested to hear some thoughts about this place.

These are the pictures I took during my visit to Qaryet Al-Asaad, or the lion village in Egypt
in the summer of 2001. Honestly, I had a very negative impression, check the pictures to see what I mean!
Those are the pictures sent to me by my very close friends, Gary and Carol Holliman from
Pride & Pack. Pride & Pack is a wonderful rescue sanctuary that hosts a lot of
big and wild felines, like lions, tigers, cougars, etc., and also they have a lot of wolves. Thank You
Gary and Carol for the pictures and of course above all, for your FRIENDSHIP.
