The African Lion and African Soccer Teams
Did you know that Soccer is the most popular sport in Africa? People everywhere in Africa is crazy
about soccer...And did you know that some of the African Soccer teams denoted their national team with lion titles?
For example, the Moroccan soccer national team is known all over Africa as the Atlas Lions, obviously because of
the Atlas mountains in North Africa, which were the main habitat of the Barbary Lion.
Also, the national soccer team of Cameroon is known in Africa as the Indomitable Lions, mainly because they are a very good
team and probably because Cameroon used to have a lot of lions before in its location in West Africa.
Do you think there more teams in Africa that have lion nicknames?....Actually, yes, there are two more teams. The DR Congo's,
formerly known as Zaire, national team is known as Simba, which is the lion word in Swahili. Finally, there is
the national team of Senegal, which is known as Lions of Teranga. Two of those teams, Cameroon and Senegal,
qualified for the 2002 World Cup in Japan/Korea. Camreoon has qualified for the fourth time in a row, while this was Senegal's
first appearance in the world cup....CONGRATULATIONS to both teams.

My Favorite Lion song
I love Reggae music and it just makes me happy when I listen to it. My favorite of course like the
rest of Reggae fans is Bob Marley. I think Bob Marley's songs, although old, carries beautiful meanings and they just
suit any period of time. Actually, Bob Marley's symbol and the logo that is always drawn on his tapes and CDs is the famous
Jamaican lion carrying the sword, it is very cool. I think you guessed by now that my favorite lion song was sung by Bob
